Why are open calls left out of the accuracy numbers?

I was looking at the scoreboard and saw 2316 open calls versus 1768 resolved. The hit rate shown is 36% on the resolved ones. Why don't the open calls count toward the percentage? If a call is still open, doesn't it mean we don't know yet if it hits or not

Because an open call has no outcome yet. The denominator would be guesswork. The rule says grades use only calls whose deadline the speaker set and that have resolved. Open calls are excluded from every rate. That's the whole point — you can't grade a test that hasn't been handed in.

The median horizon is 90 days. A call made last week on BTC with a three-month deadline is still open. Price could swing either way before then. Including it now would assume a result that hasn't happened. The 36% hit rate comes from 650 hits out of 1768 resolved — 915 misses, 203 stopped out, 54 expired. Those are final candles.
